Today's Target Trip!
It's been almost a week since I've posted anything!
Why?
I have been spending ALL of my free time reading! I LOVE when I find great books to read that just suck me in, but unfortunately when this happens I often neglect other responsibilities. :-/
I blame my mother. If she hadn't of had that book just sitting on her end table I wouldn't have picked it up and read it.
In 2 days.
Then another in a Day and a half
Then another in 1 day.
I feel almost silly due how much I am enjoying these books.
Nicholas Sparks books are full of cliches and are predictable.
But there is just something about a story of a man and a woman falling in love that I just cant shy away from.
It's that romance that is only found in books that keeps drawing me in.
I can't help it.
But today I finally made another trip to Target to get some of the things posted about last time.
Since our bathroom is 50% tile I was excited to pick up some of the Method cleaners that were on sale!
I did 2 transactions since I wasn't 100% sure that all of my coupons for the Glade Expressions would go through, and it is a lot easier to just void the whole transaction instead of removing only half of it.
To my surprise, not only did they work but the FREE refill Q automatically took off $3.99 when the price was only $2.99!! That means it took off $4 more than I had expected! Woohoo! :)
Transaction 1:
4 Glade Expressions Starter Kit:
$3.99 each $15.98
Minus (4) $1/1 Target Q
Minus (4) $1.50/1 Man. Q
4 Glade Expressions Refill
$2.99 each- $11.96
Minus (4) FREE wyb Starter Q
Transaction Total Before Qs: $27.94
Transaction Total After Qs: $1.96
Transaction 2:
4 Glade Air Fresheners
$.99 each - $3.96
Minus (4) $1/1 Target Q
4 Method Cleaning Products $2.99 -$11.96
Price Cut: $2.69
Minus (4) $1/1 Target Q
4 GE Lightbulb 4-pk $2.39- $9.56
Price Cut: $1.89
Minus (4) $2/1 Target Q
Transaction Total Before Qs: $25.48
Transaction Total After Qs: $6.32
Total Before Qs: $53.42
Total After Qs: $8.28
Total Savings: $45.14!!!
I am super happy!
But....if Jonathan knew I got MORE lightbulbs he will shoot me,
but I was getting PAID $.11 for each pack!
I couldn't pass them up.
So if anyone needs any lightbulbs, LET ME KNOW!!! :)
Also, I have PLENTY of the $1.50/1 glade Q from this past sundays paper, so if anyone would like any let me know.
All the rest of the Qs I used today were printables.
So go print yours now!!
There are also other $1 Qs out for the Method cleaner which you can stack with the Target Q but I couldnt find them. :(
Oh well...

Today's Target Trip!
It feels like it has been forever since I made a trip to Target!
So of course after hearing about some great clearance finds I had to make a quick trip to check it out!
And boy am I glad I did!
I spent a bit more OOP than I normally like, but one item was on clearance and I didn't have any Qs for it. And another item wasn't on clearance.
I ended up making 2 trips, the first trip I got only the items I had planned on and had the Qs for. Then after I got my Qs for the clearance items I wanted I made another trip. :)
Transaction 1:
2 GE 4-pk Lightbulbs: $2.39
Sale: $1.89
Minus (2) $2/1 Target Q
2 Glade Spray Air Freshener:
$.99 each: $1.98
Minus (2) $1/1 Target Q
Neutrogena Mascara: $6.99
Sale $5.99
Minus $2/1 Target Q
Total: $3.77
(I bought the mascara for 2 reasons- I needed some and I had a Q for it. And I knew I would have a few cents of overage from the other items and since Target doesn't give you money back I figured why not use it towards something else.)
And I received a $2/1 Revlon tool Catalina!
Transaction 2:
Revlon Nail File $2.89
Minus $2/1 Target Q
Minus $1/1 Q
2 Maybelline Eye Shadow: $5.99- $11.98
Clearance: $2.98- $5.96
Minus (2) $1/1 Target Q
Minus (2) $1/1 Q
Similasan Eye Drops $7.29
Clearance: $3.60
Minus $1.50
Revlon Powder Foundation: $11.99
Clearance: $5.98
(there are $2/1 Qs out there but I didn't have any. But I needed some new powder anyway so I figured since it was 50% off I'd try it even without Qs)
Total: $9.97
Total Before Qs: $47.90
Total After Qs: $13
Saved: $34.16!!!
A heads up, they also had the Maybelline Baby Lips lip gloss 2- Packs on clearance for $2.98. You can use the $1/1 Target Q to make it $1.98 for 2 of them!!!

I Got My NCP Scanner!
So a couple of weeks ago I signed up for the National Consumer Panel.
Well, today I got my scanner!
What is it?!?!?
NCP sends me a scanner, every time I get home from a shopping trip I scan the barcodes of everything I bought, put in the price of each item, then I put in how much I paid for my whole trip.
Then I set the scanner on its base and send the information to NCP.
I get points on my account every time I submit a shopping trip.
Then I use my points to buy rewards! :)
That's it. So easy.
They have some really cool rewards! I'm excited to get more points and 'shop'!!!
Go here to become a member and when a scanner becomes available you will receive it in the mail!
My Last Trip to Walgreens This Week!
Okay, so maybe it isn't the best thing for me to have finally figured out how to score awesome deals at Walgreens since we live walking distance from one.
But while Jonathan was setting up his bullet press I had to do something, right?
And that $9 RR from Sunday was burning a hole in my pocket!
And I have come to LOVE Dove hair care, and have been in need of some good stylers, so I got some more.
Unfortunately my trip was cut extremely short when my $5 RR failed to print after my FIRST transaction! And I wasn't actually going up spend money on the things I had planned to get! ;) so I just came home and emailed the Catalina company and my missing $5 RR should arrive within the next couple of weeks!
But I figured that was Wags way of telling me I really didn't need any more allergy nasal spray! ;)
And now I have LOTS of shampoo to donate! I love being able to donate, but I like to wait until I have a significant amount of stuff to bring when I go! :)
Even though i didn't have any RRs to roll, I still couldn't pass up getting some $.49 bottles of dish soap! So I went ahead and forked out the cash for it. But we have ZERO dish soap so I figured, why not. :)
Here it is:
Transaction 1
2 Dove Hairspray $4.99
1 Dove Volume Mouse $4.99
1 Dove shampoo $4.99
Sale: 4/$15
Minus (2) $2/1 Q
Minus $1/1 Q
Minus $9 RR from Sunday
Total: $1
SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED $5 RR. :(
Transaction 2
8 Dawn Hand Renewal Dish-soap: $1.99- $15.92
Sale: $.99 each- $7.92
Minus (4) $1/2 Q
Total: $3.92
Total before Sales & Qs: $35.88
Total after Sales & Qs: $4.92
(and I'll still be getting $5 RR back, I just have to wait for it to come in the mail)
Making this an $.08 MM! ;)
Now, unless I hear of a super awesome clearance find, I am not stepping foot into Walgreens until next week.
So my weeks total:
Before Sales & Qs: $153.80
After Sales & Qs: $18.85
(with $5 RR on its way)
Even without the $5 RR that I'm getting I saved $134.95 this week!!!

UPDATE!! FREE Hand Held Food Saver at Target!!!
I has been reported that Target has removed their store coupon for this product.
Remember last week when I posted about the $9.44 Food Saver that I got at Walmart?!?!? (pictured above)
Well let's just say I am SO glad that I haven't opened it and still have my receipt because I am taking it back!!!!
To get a FREE one at Target!
Head over to Target.com to print out a STORE coupon for $10/1 Food Saver appliance and stack that with the Manufacturer Q I posted about last week for $10/1 Food Saver.
It will go like this:
Food Saver: $19.99

Minus $10/1 MQ
Total: FREE
I went to the Target on Clearview today and they were OUT but an extremely kind associate scanned the tag and told me that there is none in the NOLA area!
But he said they should be getting some in soon.
And the Qs don't expore for another month.
I'll definitely be keeping my eye out for them!

I'm glad I am finally figuring out how to score good deals at Wags like I do at CVS!
Today's Walgreens Trip!
What a wonderful way to start our weekend!
We had an absolutely wonderful time at our Sunday School crawfish boil this afternoon then I was able to come home and make a quick trip to Walgreens while Jonathan was napping! :)
They were out of the allergy nose spray that I had originally planned on getting (I figured they would be since it is a $5 MM this week) but they had 2 left of another allergy nose spray on sale so I scooped them up!
Each nose spray was on sale for $6, and you got $6 RR back! I used a $1.50 Q making them a $1.50 MM each!
Since i needed to buy something in between my nose spray transactions I decided to take advantage of the Dove hair care on sale for 4/$15 with $5RR back!
Here is how my transactions went.
Transaction 1:
Similasan Nasal Allergy Relief spray $8
Sale: $6
Minus $1.50 Q
Total: $4.50
Received: $6RR
Transaction 2
4 Dove Shampoos: $5 each: $20
Sale: 4/$15
Minus (2) $2/1 Q
Minus (1) $1/1 Q
Minus $6 RR from #1
Total: $4
Received $5 RR (it's like I got paid $1 for all 4 shampoos!)
Transaction 3
Reese's: $.99 (I had to get this so I could use both my Q and RR)
Similasan Nasal Allergy Relief spray $8
Sale: $6
Minus $1.50/1 Q
Minus $5 RR from #2
Total: $.49
Received: $6 RR!
Total worth: $36
Total spent: $8.99 with $6 back!
It's like paying only $2.99 for all of this! (once I spend my $6 RR)
I plan on looking at another Walgreens to see if they have the Nasal Ease that I had originally planned on buying.
They are on sale for $9 with $9 RR back
And there is a $5 Q out there so it makes it a $5 MM after RRs! :)

Product Review: TopCchips Chip Maker. & Day 2 of Our Vegetarian Journey
Due to our recent diet change, Jonathan and I have been looking for some fun healthy snacks to munch on.
My mom had told me about this chip maker that she had gotten at Bed Bath and Beyond so I decided to pick one up and try it out!
It's a real simple concept. Slice up fruits or veggies, set them on the tray, and microwave (YES I said microwave) it for 3-5 minutes. Then VIOLA you have chips! :)
For us, it was a hit or miss process.
When we tried doing some leftover potatoes it worked real well but when we tried apples the first tray came out good, but the second tray had some issues.
Over all it's a neat contraption. Especially for only $20.
And it's super healthy. :)
Day 2 of being a vegetarian was a success!
So was our Tofu dinner!
It was super risky for us to make a dish where the Tofu stood alone (we had blackened tofu with a side of Tahini mashed potatoes), but once it was cooked correctly it was really good!
I'm super excited to try tofu mixed with something, like pasta or stir fry! :)

First Coupon Trip to Whole Foods!
Whole Foods is the one place that I LOVE going to, but HATE paying for.
I always get a knot in my stomach when it's time to check out.
But since couponing, I have discovered that there ARE coupons for healthy and organic foods!
Not only does WholeFoods.com have their own store coupons but there are organic websites that offer coupons too!
Jonathan and I have decided to start integrating vegetarian meals into our weekly dinners with a goal to slowly phase out meat all together.
So, for our weekly cooking adventure we do every Tuesday we decided to try something with Tofu.
Big risk, I know but if we are eventually going to stop eating meat completely we will definitely need another source of nutrients, which Tofu will provide.
Being the couponer that I am I had to check the coupon database to see if there were any coupons out there for tofu...AND THERE WAS!
I found a $.75/1 Q for Nasoya Tofu so I printed off 2 before we headed to While Foods and boy am I glad I did!
Here is what I got:
2 Nasoya Extra Firm Tofu $2.79 each
Sale: 2/$4
Minus (2) $.75/1 Q
Total: $2.50
That's $1.25 for each pack of Tofu!
All of the recipes that I have found call for around 10 oz of tofu each. With each thing of tofu we got being 14 oz that is almost 3 meals worth of tofu for only $2.50!!!!
I am super excited!
And if anyone wants to print off some of the tofu Qs for me that would be great! ;)

My Stockpile.
I have had several people ask me to post pictures of my stockpile.
I have been rather hesitant due to some criticism I got on my stockpile and couponing before I started blogging but I have decided that if pictures of my stockpile can motivate someone to save more money, then who cares what the Negative Nancy's have to say.
They are just mad because they pay full price for things us couponers get for pennies! ;)
A bit of encouragement: all of this except the 8 bottles of shampoo (which I got at the end of Dec) were purchased since January!
You CAN do it too! :)
My stockpile plus the 8 things of laundry detergent and 5 bottles of stain fighter I have by the washer is worth about $1740 and I have spent about $390.
Let me be clear on one thing. I only buy things that I KNOW we will use.
If I can get things that I know we use for a fraction of the cost, I am going to stock up on it.
I would rather pay $.50 for a bottle of soap now, instead of paying $4 or more when I need it.
And currently (unless it is free or a MM) I am only on the lookout for good toothpaste deals. Or medicine deals, anytime I can find medicine on sale I jump on it!
So please, unless you have encouraging words, keep them to yourself.
I also donate some of what I get.

I Got My Gold Peak Tea!
I had some of my friends from my coupon forum send me some more of the $.75/1 Gold Peak Qs.
I had 8 that I wanted to use, so I went to target after lunch to pick some up!
While I was there I saw that there was only 1 of the Air Wick Freshmatics left so I went ahead and got it!

My Sweet & Spicy Pickle Adventure!
One of my favorite snacks has always been sweet pickles. But they can be expensive.
Well a couple weeks ago I bought 6 jars of sliced pickles from Albertsons for $.50 each and had nothing to do with them...until now.
I decided to make my own sweet pickles!!
I found a recipe for some sweet and spicy pickles. And decided to try it!
Here is what I did.
16 oz Jar Hamburger Pickles
1/4-1/2 cup sugar (I used Splenda)
1/2-1 teaspoon of hot sauce. (I used Crystal)
Drain the pickle juice into a cup/bowl big enough to mix in
Keep pickles in jar
Add the sugar until it taste good to you (add as much as you want)
Stir until sugar is disolved
Add hot sauce (as much as you want)
Pour juice back into jar until full. (you may have some juice left over)
Put in fridge and let sit overnight.
I cant wait to try mine tomorrow!
The juice tasted yummy! :)
My Great Walgreens Clearance Find!
After hearing about some good clearance finds at Walgreens I decided to check out the Walgreens in front of my apartment to see of they had any good clearance items. And they did!! I was so happy!
My happiness was quickly squashed by the rude lady that tried to push me out of the way to add the last 6 packs of soap to her FULL cart of clearance items (she had the 10 other packs of soap that used to be on the shelf) She looked at me with the item I was about to pick up and said, "oh, we're you going to get that" I kindly said yes ma'am and she went on her way.
Anyway. I didn't let that bother me because I was just super thankful to be able to get the 6 I got.
6 Olay Moisturizing Bar Soap 2 pk. $4.99 each: $29.94
Clearance: $1.24 each: $7.44
Minus (6) $1/1 Q
Total: $1.44
That's $.24 for each 2 Pk! :)
My 4/6 Target Trip!
Since I didn't have work today I decided to run to the Target in Kenner to see if they still had the scrubbing bubbles on sale. And they did!! So I got 6 cans!
Now that our bathroom is half tile I will be using a lot more of it! And it works AMAZING on carpet for any doggie accidents!
I also got some glade refills, some glass cups, and some plastic wall hooks.
I spent more than I planned on, but I have been so impressed with my glade plugins that I just had to stock up on them. :)
Set of 4 Glasses: $20.49
Clearance: $6.14
1 Command Plastic Hook: $5.69
Clearance: $1.70
6 Scrubbing Bubbles: $3.49 each: $20.94
Sale: 2/$5: $15
Minus (3) $2/2 Q
7 Glade Plugins Refill Twin Pack: $4.99 each: $34.93
Sale: $4.50 each: $31.50
Minus (7) $1.50/1
Total before Sales and Qs: $82.05
Total after Qs: $37.14
Like I said: more than I usually like spending but the 2 things that cost the most are the 2 things that we use ALL THE TIME. So for me, it was well worth getting them while they were on sale!

Today's Target Trip!
So maybe moving across the street from Target was not the BEST idea.
Haha.
After seeing the movie Mirror Mirror I decided to stop by Target and see if i could score some deals Ive seen people post about this week.
While I was there I checked out the clearance isle and found some Air Wick Freshmatic on clearance! Yayy. I'm a sucker for air freshened of any kind. Especially if I can get a whole system for cheap! Refills are so expensive!
So here is what I got!
2 Air Wick Freshmatic $9.98 ($4.99 each)
Clearance: $3.48 each: $6.96
Minus (2) $2/1 Qs
2 I Can't Believe It's Not Butter $5.44 (2.72 each)
Price Cut: $2.42 each: $4.84
Minus (2) $1.25 MQ
Minus (1) $.75/2 Target Q
2 GE 4pk Lightbulbs: $1.89 each
Minus (2) $2/1 Target Qs. (I made $.11 each on these!)
Total before Sales & Qs: $19.20
Total OOP: $4.33
I had also planned on getting some scrubbing bubbles on sale. But they didn't have any. I know the other Target had some and since I don't have work tomorrownim going to go check it out and see if they still have them on sale.
This is what I plan on doing:
Scrubbing Bubbles 2/$5
Minus (1) $2/2 Q
Total due: $3
Making them $1.50 each!!

My Allegra Money Maker Walmart Trip!
I posted last week about the Allegra MM deal at Walmart with the $7/1 Q from this past weeks paper I was so glad I was able to score some!
So I'm sure you can only imagine how excited I was when my coupons arrived today in the mail! I made sure to leave in PLENTY of time to deal with the inevitable long check out process and. It be late for church.
I'm not sure if our local papers came with this Q because the shelves were STOCKED! And that never happens when an item is free or a money maker. But I'm surely not complaining!!
I grabbed my 10 boxes of Allegra 5 ct and a bottle of flea and tick shampoo for my doggies (ugh, it's that time again) and headed to check out.
My transaction:
10 boxes Allegra 5ct
$5.94 each: $59.40
Minus (9) $7/1 Q (the cashier missed a Q and I didn't realize until I left)
1 Flea and Tick Shampoo: $4.48
Total before Qs: $63.88
Total after Qs: $.88
I ended up getting paid $3.60 for the Allegra.
I used that to buy the dog shampoo.
If the cashier had scanned all coupons I would have ended up making $10.60!
I wish I would have caught the mistake in the store but I had already held up the line enough and I still managed to get all the boxes of Allegra for FREE and only paid $.88 for the dog shampoo! :)
Hurry! $5 for a $10 Starbucks Gift Card!
I just got mine! I know it is an Orlando deal but it is an e-gift card which you are able to use anywhere. :)

My $5 Walmart Trip.
Let me start by saying that not many coupons were actually used during this trip, but I still had an OOP of only $5!
So as Jonathan and I were unpacking we realized we had several unopened things from Walmart that we have been meaning to take back. So while we were there getting things for dinner tonight (we cook together every Tuesday night) we decided to finally return those items. We honestly had no idea how much they originally cost, but that wasn't the reason we were returning them so it didn't matter anyway.
We ended up getting $54 for the 3 items we returned!
After coupons (for the Gold Peak tea and Sargento cheese) and tax our total was $58.97
Minus $54 GC
Total spent was $4.97.
And our trip included things for dinner for the rest of the week and some things we needed for the apartment!
BONUS: I found a really cute Better Homes and Gardens window curtain on clearance for only $3!!! I was so excited! :)
CHEAP Gold Peak Iced Tea!
If you love a good iced tea like me then you will definitely want to print this coupon!
Go HERE to print off a $.75/1 Coupon for Gold Peak Iced Tea!
This will allow you to get super cheap 18.5 oz bottles!
Here are the scenarios:

FREE Glade Air Freshener at Target! (And My Super Cool Spice Rack)
Go to Target.com to print off a $1/1 Glade air Freshener coupon to get some for FREE!
Last night I printed off my 4 Qs and while Jonathan and I were getting some needed things for our new place at Target I picked up my 4 cans (and a clearanced wash rag that matches our clearanced bath towels)
Here is my transaction:
4 Glade air Freshener $1.00 each
$4.00 total
Minus: (4) $1/1 Target Q
1 Bath Towel $5
Clearance: $1.50
Total: $1.50
Total worth: $5.50.
I also want to show off my new spice rack I got from Sam's.
It was $20 and came with 20 spice jars WITH the spices included!
It also comes with FREE refills for 5 years! I will just have to pay for shipping!
I am super excited to use them!
